Ethics & Publication Policies

The Libyan Journal of Medical Sciences and Technologies (LJMST) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. All parties involved in the publication process are expected to adhere to ethical principles and best practices.

1. Publication Ethics

LJMST follows internationally recognized ethical guidelines to ensure transparency, integrity, and quality in scholarly publishing.

2. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Manuscripts must be original and not published or submitted elsewhere.
  • All listed authors must have made significant contributions to the work.
  • Proper citation of sources and acknowledgment of funding are required.
  • Any conflict of interest must be clearly disclosed.

3. Peer Review Policy

All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.

  • Reviewers are selected based on expertise and academic qualifications.
  • Reviewers must maintain confidentiality of the manuscripts.
  • Editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit.

4. Plagiarism Policy

LJMST has a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submissions are screened for similarity using plagiarism detection tools.

  • Manuscripts with unacceptable similarity levels will be rejected.
  • Plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification will result in immediate rejection.

5. Ethical Approval

Research involving human participants or animals must have received approval from an appropriate ethics committee. Authors must provide evidence of ethical approval upon request.

6. Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the research or editorial decisions.

7. Retraction and Correction Policy

LJMST reserves the right to retract or correct published articles in cases of proven misconduct, errors, or ethical violations.
